Manufacturer warranties vary significantly by brand and by market. Tesla typically offers a 4 year / 80,000 km basic vehicle warranty and an 8 year / 192,000 km battery warranty for the Model 3 and Model Y. BYD offers a long battery warranty in some markets, but the exact terms may not transfer to vehicles imported to Saudi Arabia outside the official channel. Mercedes, Volvo, and other European brands have their own warranty terms that vary by model — always check the specific warranty document for your vehicle. Chinese imports brought in through unofficial channels often come with limited or no warranty valid in the Kingdom.
What manufacturer warranties typically cover: battery defects and significant capacity loss (usually below 70% of original capacity within the warranty period), electric motor and drivetrain components, power electronics and inverters, onboard charging equipment, and standard vehicle components.
